Imperfect Writers' Club mark

welcome, writers!

The Imperfect
Writers’ Club

(read the rule)

the only rule

If you don’t share any writing with the world for longer than a month, you’re fired!

Why this exists

I’ve committed to writing something and sharing it on Substack every single week for the rest of the year, to finally beat my procrastination, my pile of half-started stories, and the fear of actually revealing myself to the world.

I don’t want to do it alone, and as soon as I’ve started talking about it, I’ve found out no one else does either. So we’re starting this scrappy little club to invite other writers to ship their cool stuff too, however imperfect: messy first drafts, weird essays, half-baked poems. The key is to practice the habit of sharing!

“It’s like taking an exercise class rather than just going to the gym. The group dynamic gets you to bootstrap yourself into the right frame of mind.”
